In the 0.4KV low voltage three-phase four wire urban networks and rural power supply system, the power load is mostly single-phase load. Due to the difference of power consumption and power consumption, there is a serious imbalance in the actual operation of the distribution network which is designed according to the three-phase household number. Most of the three phases are unbalanced.

Three phase load imbalance will cause a series of hazards.

  • The neutral line current is very large, which leads to the increase of line voltage drop, the increase of loss and the rise of neutral line temperature.

  • The loss of distribution transformer is serious, and the transformer is heating. It is very easy to cause a fire and affect the safe operation of the electric equipment.

  • Neutral point offset causes terminal voltage to decrease and voltage unqualified rate to rise.

  • Load partial phase may cause single-phase overload in Taiwan area, causing protection device action, resulting in large power outage.

Artificial load timing is time-consuming, laborious, and timeliness is poor, which cannot effectively solve the increasingly serious challenges of three-phase load imbalance.

The MEWOI6500 3-phase unbalance monitor/control device is a real-time and intelligent automatic load control system. It has a commutation scheduling for single phase load, and it is a perfect and effective solution to the three-phase imbalance problem of low voltage distribution network.

MEWOI6500 commutation switch 3-phase unbalance monitor/control device is composed of main controller MEWOI6500-BMC and commutator MEWOI6500-PEX. The main controller MEWOI6500-BMC is responsible for collecting real-time load data of the stage area, analyzing the load voltage and current of each commutator, forming and sending instructions to the commutator. The commutator MEWOI6500-PEX accepts the instructions of the master and executes instructions. The main controller and commutator communicate with each other by 230MHz wireless. A master controller and several commutators can be configured according to the severity of the transformer capacity and imbalance in the transformer station.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1)       Equal voltage 0 millisecond seamless commutation technology, commutation without interruption of power supply.

The commutation time is 0 milliseconds, and the commutation time is accurately controlled. The commutation process is completed by power electronic devices, no mechanical contacts and no arcs. After commutation, the permanent magnet switch keeps steady state and no loss.

2)       The commutation process has no inrush, and the commutation is stable and reliable.

Because the commutation time is 0 milliseconds, the phase change process is only 120 degrees in the phase of the equal phase of the two phase voltage, which belongs to the natural commutation, so there is no voltage mutation and no inrush.

3)       Precise location of phase shifter ensures the balance of each branch of distribution network.

The unique piecewise pressure drop synthesis algorithm is used to adjust the most recent commutator at the extreme value of the line imbalances, thus ensuring the optimal balance of each line, reducing the neutral line current more effectively, and improving the power supply voltage at the end.

4)       There is no adverse effect on all kinds of electric equipment.

The equal voltage 0 millisecond seamless commutation technology does not cause power supply interruption and voltage sags, and does not affect the user's electricity completely; it can be a stable and reliable commutation for the inductive, capacitive and resistive load.
